A wide range of part time courses for adults are available from Kirklees College.

Many of these courses are free to Priority Kirklees Passport holders or for those actively seeking employment.

Northern College Adult Education Courses

Northern College based at Wentworth Castle, Barnsley is a community learning centre that offers a wide range of courses. From basic IT skills, English, Maths, word processing, photography,through to degree level courses.

Most courses are residential over three to five days and there is usually no cost for accomodation, food and course tutoring if you receive some forms of benefit payment and/or have not received a university grant in the past. If you do have to pay the full cost is usually £39 for a three day course.

Paddock Community Trust has been serving the people of Kirklees, since 1998. Initially the charity focused on community learning via the Learning Centre based in Paddock Village Hall, however the services supplied by the charity have expanded to meet the ever changing needs of the communities we serve throughout Kirklees.
